Museum of Water

Our first outing after the boys left was the museum of water it was back down in the older part of town which is very interesting just driving through and seeing all of the older structures, and roads.  When we finally get to the top of this high hill there is the museum.  It was very quiet around there, but I suppose school has started here so we were pretty much on our own.

This was in the bubble room

They were having so much fun trying to make a huge bubble

Almost!

Dad and Harmony give it a try.....

Now dad and Hope, they did it!

There were quite  a few different things for the kids to try out

Ale

Painting with water, that was pretty cool

A little wall climbing before we left.

One more picture of the view before we leave

Waiting for a ride....

Now we are at the top of this quiet hill top road not much traffic.  A few other people waiting as well....  we are wondering how we are going to get a taxi?  We watch a few people get picked up, still we are waiting..... a taxi drops someone off and we ask him please!! take us home! He said, sure so we all hopped in before he could notice.....  He turns and said, ¨mucho personas.¨ We all laughed and said, si.  He sang us some Spanish music for us on our way home so it was a very memorable ride for more reasons than one....

Everyday Life......

while we are here we are very much enjoying all that God is allowing us to see and learn and it has been very interesting, fun and exciting.
But in all reality we are living here,  we have become part of this culture as different as everything may be and I mean everything.  Life goes on and we are trying to make the best of it, with God's mercy.
This is from our 4th story window

Time in the playground..... which is daily

 Taking pictures with the girls.

Trying out wearing no shoes like her sister ( I am not sure the tias would like that)

Besides playing on the play ground and bugging the security guard and cleaning guy and confusing them with our English or visa, versa.  We go on a lot of walks all over this town.  Some days we put on quite a few miles.  We play all sorts of games that we brought with and we are actually getting sort of tired of those, so we bought a Spanish one and I am still working on interpreting that one.
We go the the park Carolina a lot and still have not seen all that is has to offer and we have been there around 6 times (they have a very good cafe inside the garden).  There is always something new to see.  The first time we walked in this area Harmony seen a mime , she was quite scared or unsure  what was going on, she has taken quite an interest in them and always tries to catch there attention.   She got to interact a little with one.  Every time we walk, which is sometimes more than twice a day we see or hear something new.  We have seen fireworks 3 times since we have been in this house.

So as another project we went shopping for items to make no bake cookies (figured we could not go wrong with those in this altitude)

Ale and Harmony working together.... they make great sisters

They did turn out, actually better than they do at home for me.
But the best part was watching Ale lick the spoon she was quite surprised and could not get enough.
Next project..brownies from Mindo.

Finished Product!

This has been Kevin's biggest past times is watching these guys on this building project

I am sure sometimes he wishes he could jump in help, but I am afraid it would be a mess in more ways than one.

Teleferico......

Before the boys left we had one last adventure.
The ride there for cab # 2 was quite an adventure in itself.
Ready or not here we go.  Ale and mommy were not quite so sure, but once we got going Ale was fine... mom on the other hand was still a little worried.
This better work...
Waiting....
Here goes the first group!
 Up, Up, and Away.....
The view was beautiful but hard for me to relax, especially when is slowed down ...almost to a stop hanging there seemed like an eternity.

when we finally reached the top the view was indescribable not even pictures do it justice.
Just as we starting hiking up the mountains the clouds were coming in.
The view ....

So we were literally walking in the clouds

.  The view not too good, but the experience of walking through clouds was Awesome
Stopping to stare at God's creation (and catch our breath)

.
We thought we should turn around and then God carried the clouds away and we were amazed.

Kevin was in his glory, he loves being in the mountains and seeing God's handiwork.
 Brianna too....
Hope wishing and dreaming of riding a horse up this mountain....

 Let's not forget Micah.

So thankful for this opportunity to see so much more of God's creation then just our little community of Jump River.
The boys continued up while we waited with the little girls.

OK, now Hope can quit wishing and dreaming and ASKING!  They finally got to ride the horses up in the mountains.
On our way back down.

To end the day, the children wanted to ride the go carts, Brianna just helping to make sure everyone knows what they are doing.

 Start your engines....
Harmony in her little cart did pretty well for never driven before.
The best cheerleader anyone could want.....
We are all tired and ready for the trip home.
